I am so in love with the ghost prints from these gelatin prints. I like them much better than the first print.

I almost lost this piece due to some bad adhering on my part to the substrate. Luckily I was able to salvage a portion of the image, the one with the bird. I do believe I am going to try the dry adhesion process with the tacking iron and release paper. It just isn't worth losing a piece to wrinkles and tears.

I know that there is quite a backlash right now with adding birds to art, but I really love the way this looks. So it is a keeper as far as I am concerned.

Bird and all.

  3. I didn't realize there was a bird backlash. (Does that mean mosaic artists can't make bird backsplashes?) I love this. The evolution of your work continues to fascinate me. Each day a new shape or color or line. Flowing from one to the next.

  4. I love this print. I think the backlash on adding birds is about those cutesy birds. This crow is perfection, but them I LOVE those black birds!

    I love the work you are doing in this medium. You certainly are a multi-talented artist.

  5. Thanks Carol and Ginger. There seems to be a standing joke now that in order for something to sell it needs a bird on it. Kind of silly since birds are the most amazing creatures. I never tire of watching them flit and flutter at my feeder.

  6. I didn't know about the bird backlash either. Interesting, just this year I became totally interested in birds in my neighborhood. They're beautiful and fascinating. I love this.
